Shipping & Returns

 

When we have the ordered goods in Stock normally it ships on the same day, when you order it before 16:00h (San Fransisco Time), likely on the next day.
If you choose standard delivery within 5-6 days it will be sent by FirstClass Package Mail.  It will ship with Priority Mail (2-3days) when you choose Expedited Delivery Option and with Express Two Days Service it will go mostly with USPS Express.

We highly recommend that you provide a physical address for shipping.  

We are passionate about our German items, but also about customer satisfaction.   You have a right to expect our products as they are described on our website. 

 
If you experience problems with your order, contact us as soon as you receive the package and no later than 7 days from time of delivery.

Our refund policy applies, with the following exceptions: 

- Products that were delivered intact and as described, but are not the personal taste of the recipient. Or otherwise said if you simply don't like the product ordered, or if you thought you were ordering something different, we are not able to issue a refund. 
 

- We also do not guarantee orders that are damaged, delayed, lost or stolen because:  

- ordering provided an incorrect shipping address.  
- ordering selected products or quantities in error. 
- ordering selected a shipping method other than those we recommend. 
- errors on the order that lead us to believe fraud might be involved(we try to call you before we cancel your order) 
- receiving the order did not check to see if the order was left at the door. 

- The problem was not reported within 7 days of delivery.  

 
Insurance 
During checkout we over you the Premium Protection from Route - this will be covering for damage during shipment and even stolen or completely lost packages.
 
But please be aware: Insurance that is offered by a carrier like USPS only works if your order is not shown to be delivered. USPS/UPS and other carriers say package won't be insured against non-delivery or mis-delivery by the carrier. Once they scan the package as delivered and leave it by your door or porch, they claim no responsibility, so we highly recommend to opt in for the Route insurance for a full protection.
 
If a delivery was damaged during shipment make sure you claim right away. Please also take pictures of the box and the damaged items.

We ship all Orders with Delivery Confirmation-Orders. Parcels shipped with Delivery Confirmation shown to be delivered, will not be replaced by myGermanCandy.com if you miss them. With Signature Confirmation Service and Insurance you are on the secure side. 

Please consider purchasing the optional Signature Confirmation Service offered, if you live in an area where an unattended package is likely to disappear.  Signature Confirmation Service (US orders only) Assures your package will be delivered to your hand rather than left unattended. 

Package shipped with Signature Confirmation Service means the package will have to be signed for on arrival.  

A notice will be left for redelivery or pick-up if you are not available at time of delivery. 

Restocking Fee: 

Cause we are mostly selling food items we have to say: In the event that products are returned to myGermanCandy.com in sellable condition and myGermanCandy.com has agreed before sending them back to accept your return, a 25% restocking fee will be charged - unless myGermanCandy.com is clearly responsible for an error which is the cause of the return.  For non foot item the Fee goes down to 15%. 

 
myGermanCandy.com will not refund shipping and handling fees for orders which were properly delivered.
