This Product has experienced a long wait time in customs and was exposed to sunlight on the outer boxes.
The licorice has undergone some color changes and you might also notice white dust which are sugar crystals. It is also a bit more brittle than usual. However, there is no need to worry as it is still safe to eat and tastes great. The sell-by-date is 04.25.2024, but it is not a recommended item for gifting purposes.
Gammeldags simply means old-fashioned and this is what you get with this licorice. It still is made to old recipes: soft and just a little salty.
It still is more punch when you compare it to American Twizzlers, so be aware if you order it, it is real European starters licorice - old-fashioned made to perfection by Sambo in Iceland.
