Dr. Oetker Suesse Mahlzeit Griessbrei 92g Mix for 500ml Milk
This is a ready mix for germanys most favorite dessert: Griess Pudding
"Griess" or Semolina is grinded from sun-ripened wheat varieties. "Griess" are the major parts of the grain flour core obtained after the first milling of the grain. Through a particularly gentle grinding all shell fragments, which are still on the grit particles are removed. In consistency it is very similar to american grits.
Since we have no translation or very small on the package here are the way to use this product:
- 1. Bring the 500ml (about 2⅛ cups) to a boil
- 2. Remove the pot from the heat when boiling and start stirring the milk and add the content of the bag into the hot milk. Still well until dissolved and keep stirring for at least one minute.
- 3. Let it rest for about 5 Minutes and stir once more. You can serve it still warm or fill it in desert glass and put it in the fridge for about 45 minutes until cold. Then serve it with a mix of sugar and cinnamon or with fresh fruit, some jam or marmalade that you like.
Ingredients: 46% hard wheat starch, sugar, starch, modified starch, thickener xanthan, flavor (with milk sugar), emulsifier mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids.
